These Terms govern your use of Jot, a Markdown publishing service operated by WinnerSight. By accessing or using Jot, publishing an anonymous note, or accepting an invitation to a Jot account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use Jot.
Jot lets users publish and manage Markdown content through the web, CLI, and API. Features may include temporary anonymous notes, permanent notes, author pages, collections, tags, themes, media, feeds, private sites, and custom domains.
Jot is an evolving project. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed.
Jot accounts are invite-only. An invitation is personal, may not be transferred, and does not guarantee continued access.
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use Jot only with that consent.
We may decline, revoke, suspend, or limit an invitation or account when reasonably necessary to protect Jot, its users, or others.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account, authenticated browser sessions, and API keys.

Jot uses email-based login codes rather than account passwords. Never send a login code or API key to anyone claiming to need it for support.
Jot allows limited publishing without an account.
Anonymous notes:
Anonymous publishing is not a private storage service.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Jot.
You give WinnerSight a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit, and display your content only as necessary to:
This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except that backup copies and records required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention purposes may be retained.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit and publish your content.
Public notes, feeds, author pages, and custom-domain content may be viewed, copied, linked, indexed, or shared by others. Unlisted content is not necessarily private.
Password-protected and private-site features reduce access but cannot guarantee confidentiality or prevent an authorized reader from copying or sharing content.
You are responsible for selecting appropriate access settings and for keeping independent copies of important content.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, block requests, revoke keys, suspend accounts, or terminate access without prior notice when reasonably necessary.

We may remove or restrict content while reviewing a report.
Jot may retrieve content or media from a source you provide, such as a WordPress site. You are responsible for having permission to access, import, and republish that material.
Published content may link to third-party websites. WinnerSight does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or privacy practices.
Custom domains, email delivery, and other features may depend on third-party infrastructure.
Jot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim to operate it reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent storage, error-free operation, or preservation of any content.
Maintain independent backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WinnerSight disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
You may stop using Jot at any time and may request deletion of your account and content.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, revoke API keys, block requests, or discontinue all or part of Jot when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, operational reasons, or violations of these Terms.
Where practical, we will try to provide notice before discontinuing permanent account features, but we are not required to preserve or export content after termination.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WinnerSight and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from Jot.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of WinnerSight and its operators arising out of or relating to Jot will not exceed US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify WinnerSight and its operators against third-party claims arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or Jot will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms as Jot changes. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
For material changes, we may provide additional notice through Jot or by email. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
The Jot Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and handled and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
